The problem

Helping Hands came to us with concerns that their website didn’t reflect their mission or the people they support. They wanted a site that better told their story and clearly showed the impact of their work.

The founder also needed full access to manage the site, something they previously lacked. Gaining control and the ability to make updates were top priorities.

The solution

We worked closely with the charity’s director to tailor a design to fit their organisations DNA and craft clear, engaging copy that tells their story and highlights those they support.

To improve engagement, we simplified the donation and volunteer application processes with bespoke forms and messaging. We also set up new WordPress hosting to give them full access and control over their site.

Branding

Clare had a clear vision for the colour palette, favouring two complementary shades of pink paired with a bold, contrasting black to carry through the site.

To reflect the charity’s strong message and modern feel, we chose the typeface Economica—a clean, bold font that worked beautifully for menus and headings.

The message

We arranged for a photographer to join the volunteer team one evening and capture their work in action. Mike did a fantastic job documenting the team’s compassion as they supported those in need across Birmingham.

These powerful images really helped bring the charity’s message to life throughout the website.
